Mohali Police Intensifies 24/7 Road Domination Drive Across District

In a major crackdown on crime and illegal activities, the Mohali police have launched a round-the-clock road domination drive throughout the district. This initiative has already yielded significant results, with one person arrested for possession of illegal arms and five unregistered motorcycles seized during the very first night of operations.

SSP Hans Orders 12-Hour Night Vigil to Strengthen Law and Order

The intensified checking was conducted under the direct orders of SSP Hamandeep Singh Hans, who mandated a rigorous 12-hour night vigil from Saturday to Sunday. The primary objective is to bolster law and order and ensure public safety across Mohali.

SSP Hans emphasized, "Clear instructions for night-long domination were issued, and senior officers are monitoring operations on the ground. The focus is on ensuring safety and building public confidence."

Massive Police Deployment with 70 Nakas and Quick Response Teams

To execute this drive effectively, the police established an impressive network of 70 nakas in a single night. This operation was further supported by four dedicated quick response teams, ensuring rapid reaction to any incidents.

All DSP-rank officers were instructed to remain on the roads and personally oversee the naka operations, demonstrating a hands-on approach from senior leadership.

Strategic Focus on Sensitive Points and Advanced Verification Methods

DSP Prithvi Singh Chahal detailed the deployment strategy, stating that teams were positioned at sensitive locations, major thoroughfares, and all entry-exit routes. "Strict verification of vehicles and suspicious persons is being carried out using VAHAAN and PIOUS applications, and violations are being dealt with firmly," he explained.

Police sources confirmed that during the night checking, one accused was apprehended with illegal arms, and five unregistered motorcycles were impounded, highlighting the immediate impact of the drive.

Sustained Preventive Policing Strategy to Deter Criminal Activity

DSP Harsimran Singh Bal, who supervised multiple nakas, clarified that this initiative is part of a broader, sustained preventive policing strategy. "We are checking for illegal weapons, stolen vehicles, and suspicious movement, especially during night hours," he said.

Officials have announced that such drives will continue regularly to deter crime, enforce traffic and safety norms, and maintain peace in the community. Residents have been urged to cooperate fully with police during these checking operations to enhance overall security.
