In a brazen assault on law enforcement, illegal stone mining mafias attacked a forest department team in Tonk's Niwai area on Wednesday morning. The violent incident occurred when officials attempted to seize tractor-trolleys near Raktanchal mountain, resulting in two forest workers sustaining injuries and significant damage to a government vehicle.

Police and administrative officials immediately rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the attack and have launched a comprehensive investigation. Tonk's Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Meena confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered based on the forest workers' complaint, with specialized teams formed to apprehend the accused individuals.

Upon spotting the approaching officials, both vehicles began hastily dumping their cargo and attempted to flee the scene. The forest team managed to intercept one tractor, which triggered a violent response from the driver and accompanying individuals.

Niwai Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Prakash Sharma provided crucial details about the incident, noting that the four-member team from Tonk headquarters conducted their investigation without informing local police authorities. Sharma explained that while one tractor successfully escaped, the other was stopped, directly leading to the violent assault.
"We have registered a comprehensive case under various legal sections, including obstruction of government duty, and have formed multiple specialized teams," Sharma stated. "The accused individuals will be arrested soon through our coordinated efforts."
The deputy SP further emphasized that the unfortunate incident might have been prevented if the forest department team had coordinated with local police and requested their accompaniment during the operation.
