10 Accused in Mau Warehouse Arson and Stabbing Attack, Owner Critical
Mau: Snack factory owner stabbed, warehouse set ablaze

In a shocking incident of violence, a snack warehouse in Mau district was deliberately set ablaze, and its owner was left fighting for his life after being stabbed. The attack, which has sent ripples through the local community, occurred on Tuesday evening in Dariyabad village under the jurisdiction of the Ghosi police.

Violent Attack Leaves Factory Owner Critically Injured

The victim has been identified as Udaybhan, a resident of Sidha Ahilaspur. He operates a snack production unit near a canal in Dariyabad village. According to the police report, on Tuesday evening, a group of individuals arrived at the location and allegedly set the warehouse on fire. When Udaybhan bravely attempted to stop the arsonists, the situation turned violent.

The assailants did not stop at setting the property on fire. They reportedly assaulted Udaybhan and then attacked him with a knife, inflicting severe injuries. The attackers fled the scene, leaving the victim in a critical condition.

Police Action and Manhunt for the Accused

Hearing his cries for help, Udaybhan's brother, Brijbhan, rushed to the spot and immediately alerted the authorities. Police personnel arrived promptly and rushed the injured man to the Ghosi Community Health Centre (CHC). Given the gravity of his wounds, he was referred to the district hospital. Doctors there performed surgery to remove a knife that was lodged in his abdomen. Due to the need for advanced medical care, he was later referred to the prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU) hospital for further treatment.

Acting on a formal complaint from the injured man, the Ghosi police registered a First Information Report (FIR) on Wednesday. The FIR names ten individuals for attempted murder and other relevant charges.

Ghosi police station in-charge Pramendra Singh confirmed that multiple police teams have been formed and raids are currently underway across locations to apprehend all the accused involved in this brutal crime.
