A 74-year-old man, Shivshankar Tiwari alias Pehalwan Tiwari, was allegedly beaten to death by his son, Sheshnath Tiwari alias Bablu, over a property dispute in Suraundha village under Dumraon police station area of Buxar district on Thursday. The victim’s wife, Prema Devi, was injured while trying to intervene.
Incident Details
According to Buxar Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya, the accused attacked his father with a wooden handle and then fled the scene. Police later recovered the weapon used in the assault.
Police Action
An FIR has been lodged against the accused, and raids are underway to arrest him, Arya said. The injured woman has been provided medical assistance.
