Man Flashes Woman in Moving Local Train in Mumbai

MUMBAI: The Government Railway Police (GRP) are searching for a man who exposed himself to a female commuter inside a moving local train on Saturday. The accused remains unidentified as of now.

Incident Details

The incident took place in a Churchgate-bound local train. The victim, in her late twenties, boarded the gents first-class coach at Andheri station. Between Prabhadevi and Mumbai Central stations, a male passenger seated in the same compartment flashed her.

Commuters Intervene

When other passengers learned of the incident, they forced the man to alight at Mumbai Central station. After reaching Grant Road station, the woman called a railway helpline and reported what had happened.

She later went home and then approached the Mumbai Central GRP chowky to file a complaint. Police stated that some CCTV cameras were under repair, but they are gathering more leads on the accused.

Legal Action

A case of molestation has been registered by the Mumbai Central GRP. Investigations are ongoing.
