K Vanjikovan, a 32-year-old resident of Kottur village in Dharmapuri district, was riding his two-wheeler on the Adhiyamankottai-Attibele National Highway. He was returning to Hosur from his home when tragedy struck near Beerjepalli in Krishnagiri district.
A male spotted deer suddenly darted across the highway from left to right. Vanjikovan's vehicle collided with the animal at high speed. The impact threw him off his two-wheeler onto the road surface.

Both Vanjikovan and the deer died instantly at the scene. Police officials confirmed the dual fatalities occurred on the spot without any chance for medical intervention.
Uddanapalli police rushed to the location after receiving information about the collision. They recovered Vanjikovan's body and transported it to Hosur Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
Forest department officials separately handled the deer's carcass. They took the animal remains to a veterinary hospital in Gobachandra for examination. Following the postmortem procedures, authorities buried the deer's body.
