According to police reports, Raja visited the shop around 10:30 AM on Monday under the pretense of purchasing gold and silver ornaments. Police officials from the RS Puram station stated, "Raja came to the shop with the intention of buying ornaments but instead stole the silver bar and attempted to escape. However, the vigilant staff caught him red-handed during the act."
