Ghaziabad Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Co-Worker in Cow Dung Dispute

In a shocking incident from Ghaziabad, a 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his co-worker at a local dairy. The arrest was made on Friday after a violent altercation that reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over the handling of cow dung and washing milk cans.

Discovery of the Body and Police Complaint

The case came to light on Wednesday morning when police received information about a body discovered at the Kamdhenu dairy in the Ristala area of Teela Mod. The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Sunil Kumar, who had been employed at the dairy for approximately six months.

Later that same day, Kumar's brother Veerwal filed a formal police complaint, alleging that an unknown assailant had struck Kumar on the head with an axe, resulting in his death. Based on this complaint, authorities registered a First Information Report under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Tila Mod police station.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Shalimar Garden) Atul Kumar Singh stated that a specialized team was immediately formed to trace the suspect. Through diligent investigation, police identified the accused as Dakshraj, also known as Heera, a resident of Mirzapur who worked at the same dairy.

On Friday, acting on a tip-off from an informant, police successfully arrested Dakshraj from his room at the Kamdhenu Dairy. During the arrest, authorities made crucial recoveries that would become key evidence in the case.

Evidence Recovered and Confession

"The woollen jersey T-shirt, with blood stains, worn by the accused at the time of the murder and one blood-stained axe were recovered from the accused's possession," confirmed ACP Atul Kumar Singh during a statement to reporters.

According to the police account, the accused confessed to having a dispute with Kumar on Tuesday regarding work responsibilities, specifically concerning the washing of milk cans and the collection of cow dung. The confrontation apparently escalated later that night when Dakshraj found Kumar asleep in his room at the dairy facility.

In a moment of violent rage, the accused allegedly struck Kumar with the axe, resulting in fatal injuries. The murder weapon and blood-stained clothing recovered by police appear to corroborate this confession.

Broader Implications and Community Impact

This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting how seemingly minor workplace disagreements can escalate into fatal violence. The dairy industry, which employs numerous workers in the region, now faces scrutiny regarding workplace conditions and conflict resolution mechanisms.

Police authorities have emphasized their commitment to thorough investigation and swift justice in this case. The arrest within days of the crime demonstrates effective police work in Ghaziabad, though the underlying causes of such workplace violence remain a concern for both employers and law enforcement agencies.

The case continues to develop as police complete their investigation and prepare charges against the accused. This incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of conflict management and workplace safety protocols across all industries, including traditional sectors like dairy farming.
