According to police reports, the accused identified as Manjunath H, aged 35 and resident of Kolar district, made a threatening phone call to the Bengaluru Metro control room on June 26, 2024. During this communication, he specifically threatened to blow up the MG Road metro station, one of the busiest transit points in the city's metro network.
The control room staff immediately alerted the BMTC police about the serious threat. Law enforcement agencies swung into action, implementing enhanced security protocols at the mentioned station and throughout the metro system.
