Lucknow Murder Case: Accused Attempted to Conceal Body and Restrain Victim's Wife
In a disturbing development from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, police have uncovered shocking details in the murder of 30-year-old Vishnu Yadav at his in-laws' residence in the Aashiana area. The accused family members allegedly made concerted efforts to mislead law enforcement and prevent them from entering the house to discover the crime.
Police Encounter Resistance at Crime Scene
According to official police sources, when officers responded to information and arrived at the house located in Sector I of Aashiana, the accused attempted to downplay the entire incident as nothing more than a minor domestic dispute. The victim's father-in-law, identified as Teerthraj Singh, allegedly claimed that Vishnu had suffered only superficial injuries and insisted that the matter would be resolved internally within the family. The accused family members actively tried to prevent police personnel from entering the premises altogether.
Gruesome Discovery and Victim's Wife Found Restrained
Sensing clear indications of foul play, the police team forced their way into the residence. During their subsequent search, they made a horrifying discovery—Vishnu Yadav's blood-soaked body was lying in the porch area, concealed under a car cover and partially hidden behind a vehicle. The condition of the body and the disarrayed clothing indicated that the victim had suffered a particularly brutal assault prior to his death.
Inside the house, police made another alarming find—Vishnu's wife, Sakshi, was confined in a room with her legs tied up, apparently to prevent her from informing anyone about what had transpired. The police team rescued Sakshi and documented the situation through video recording. In a visibly distressed state, Sakshi informed the police that her husband had been mercilessly beaten by members of her own family. She further alleged that she too had been assaulted and forcibly restrained against her will.
Attempts to Dispose of Evidence and Prior Family Tensions
Investigators now suspect that the accused were actively preparing to dispose of Vishnu's body when police intervened. Officers reported that the family asked them to return in the morning, suggesting a possible plan to secretly transport and dump the body during nighttime hours. Police also discovered that the accused had changed their clothes after the incident, likely to hide bloodstains, and were behaving normally in an attempt to avoid raising suspicion.
Police officials revealed that there was documented prior tension between the two families. Back in 2021, Sakshi's father had filed a case against Vishnu for allegedly eloping with his daughter. Another case involving abduction and additional charges was registered in 2024, which resulted in Vishnu spending time in jail.
Conflicting Statements from the Accused
During interrogation, the accused provided multiple contradictory versions of the incident. Initially, Teerthraj Singh claimed that Vishnu and Sakshi had entered the house in an intoxicated state and were engaged in a physical altercation, alleging that Sakshi herself had killed her husband. In another version, he stated that his younger brother Nanhe had intervened in a dispute between the couple, which escalated and led to Vishnu's death, while he himself was asleep at the time.
In yet another claim, Sakshi's sisters alleged that Vishnu had behaved inappropriately with them, and that he sustained fatal injuries during a scuffle when they attempted to intervene.
Police authorities confirmed that the sequence of events and all statements are being thoroughly verified, with further investigation actively underway to establish the complete truth behind this tragic incident.
