Lucknow Lawyer Fatally Attacked While Traveling to Barabanki District Court

In a shocking incident, Shoaib Kidwai, a lawyer residing in Lucknow's Mahanagar area, was brutally attacked and killed while on his way to the Barabanki district court. According to his close associate and fellow advocate Vinod Pathak, Kidwai had been living in Mahanagar with his wife Sazia and son Arhan for several years.

Details of the Attack and Routine

Pathak revealed that Shoaib Kidwai had taken up a flat near Gol Chauraha in Mahanagar and was also associated with a property near Barabanki town. His son Arhaan is currently a Class X student at a school in Lucknow. For the past seven to eight years, Kidwai had been regularly attending the Barabanki district court, typically leaving from Lucknow around noon and returning by 6 pm.

On Friday, Kidwai was reportedly traveling in his Baleno car as part of his usual routine to attend court when he was attacked. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local legal community and residents.

Family's Response and Denial of Criminal Links

Shoaib Kidwai's elder brother, Javed Ashraf, has strongly maintained that his brother had been practicing law regularly for the past 10 years and had no involvement in criminal activities. "He was a dedicated lawyer focused on his profession," Ashraf stated, emphasizing the family's stance on his clean record.

Son's Heartbreaking Reaction

Nearly two hours after the incident, Shoaib's teenage son Arhaan reached the postmortem house alone. The young boy was inconsolable and broke down repeatedly upon seeing his father's body, highlighting the profound personal tragedy behind this violent act.

The case is currently under investigation, with authorities working to determine the motives and perpetrators behind the attack. The legal fraternity in Lucknow and Barabanki has expressed deep concern over the safety of practitioners, calling for enhanced security measures.
