In a distressing incident in Lucknow, local journalist Dhruv Narayan Pandey sustained serious injuries after banned nylon manjha became entangled around his neck while he was riding his motorcycle. The alarming event occurred near Pakri Ka Pul in the Alambagh area on Friday, highlighting a growing public safety crisis.

According to police reports, Pandey was traveling on his two-wheeler when a loose nylon kite string, identified as the prohibited manjha, either hanging across the road or flying in the air, suddenly wrapped around his neck. The incident happened so abruptly that he had no time to react, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and suffer a deep cut to his throat.
Passers-by swiftly came to his aid, rushing him to the emergency department of Civil Hospital. Medical professionals administered five stitches to his wound, and he is currently reported to be in stable condition. This prompt response likely prevented more severe consequences.

This marks the 10th such incident in Lucknow within a span of just 10 days, following the tragic death of Md Shoaib in Bazarkhala, which initially brought this issue to public attention. The series of events underscores the persistent danger posed by banned nylon manjha in urban areas.
