Adhikari's son allegedly pushed Mandal out of the house, after which he, along with his father and brother, proceeded to brutally thrash the labourer.
The assault left Mandal with multiple injuries, most notably a ruptured eardrum, which necessitated immediate medical attention. He was initially taken to the district hospital for emergency care but was later referred to a specialized hospital in Haldwani for further treatment due to the severity of his condition.
