Korean man stabbed to death by girlfriend in Noida flat

A 47-year-old man from South Korea was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend inside their apartment in Noida's Sector 150 in the early hours of Sunday. The fatal incident followed a violent argument that erupted over the man's drinking habits.

Argument Over Alcohol Leads to Fatal Stabbing

The victim, identified as Duck Hee Yuh from Cheongju-si in South Korea, had been working with a logistics company in Greater Noida for the past decade. He was in a live-in relationship with Lunjeana Pamai (22), who hails from Bishnupur in Manipur. The couple resided in a flat at ATS Pious Hideways.

According to police, the argument began when Pamai tried to stop Hee from drinking. Hee had been consuming alcohol since Saturday morning, which had angered his girlfriend. Between 3 am and 4 am on Sunday, she asked him to have dinner and sleep, but Hee turned aggressive.

"The heated argument soon escalated into a physical fight, and Hee thrashed Pamai badly. In retaliation, she picked up a knife from the dining table and stabbed Hee a number of times in the chest," said Sudheer Kumar, ADCP (Greater Noida).

Driver's Account and Hospital Rush

As Hee collapsed, a bleeding and critically injured man, Pamai called his driver, Mandeep Singh. She asked him to come to the flat immediately. Upon arriving, Singh was informed about the stabbing. He promptly called an ambulance, and along with Pamai, took Hee to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS).

Unfortunately, Hee was declared dead on arrival. Upon learning about his death, Pamai quietly left the hospital without informing anyone. Police were subsequently alerted by the hospital about the death of the South Korean national.

History of Frequent Fights and Police Action

Initial investigation revealed that the couple had met at a party in Gurgaon two years ago and had been living together since. While Hee was employed, Pamai was reportedly not working. The driver, Mandeep Singh, told police that the couple fought frequently, often over trivial matters.

Singh also recounted an incident from last month where Hee had suddenly become aggressive and verbally abused Pamai. Based on Singh's complaint, a case has been registered against Lunjeana Pamai under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Knowledge Park police station.

"We have initiated an investigation into the sequence of events that led to the murder. Pamai has been detained for questioning," a police officer stated. The victim's family in South Korea has been informed and is expected to arrive in Noida soon.
