Victims Identified in Tragic Crash

The deceased has been identified as Sarath, a 21-year-old resident of Balaramapuram. Authorities conducted a postmortem examination before releasing his body to grieving relatives.

Two other men sustained significant injuries in the crash. S Ajilan, aged 33 and from Nagaroor, remains in critical condition. Medical staff initially admitted him to the government medical college hospital where he required ventilator support. Doctors later transferred him to a private hospital overnight for continued care.

The third victim, Sibin, is a 29-year-old from Kottarakkara. He suffered serious injuries but medical reports indicate his condition is now stable.

Police Investigation Reveals Crash Details

The accident occurred around 11:15 PM on Tuesday evening. According to police statements, Sibin was operating the motorcycle with Sarath riding as a pillion passenger.

Investigators report that Sibin's bike was traveling at high speed from the Chackai direction. It collided head-on with another motorcycle ridden by Ajilan, who was approaching from Anayara toward Pettah.

The violent impact threw all three riders onto the roadway. Both motorcycles sustained extensive damage, particularly to their front sections which were completely destroyed in the crash.

Pettah police have officially registered a case regarding this tragic incident. Officers are currently examining all circumstances that contributed to the accident. Their investigation aims to determine the exact sequence of events and identify any contributing factors.
