During attempts to restrain Gupta, the scooterette rider reportedly fell onto the road. Prithwish Ganguly then took Gupta to RKM Seva Prathistan for medical attention.
At the hospital, the confrontation continued. Gupta's wife arrived at the medical facility and allegedly assaulted Ganguly and others present. This added another layer to the already volatile situation.
The Counter-Complaint Presents Different Version
In a counter-complaint filed by Gupta's brother-in-law, a completely different narrative emerges. This complaint alleges that the private car actually dashed into Gupta's two-wheeler, causing the initial collision.
The counter-complaint further states that Gupta was assaulted by the occupants of the car. They allegedly used a brickbat during this attack. According to this version, Gupta sustained injuries on his right arm from the assault.

Following the incident, medical attention was required for both parties. Gupta was later shifted to Narayan Hospital in Behala for more specialized care. He remains admitted at this hospital, receiving treatment for his injuries.
