A Kolkata-based content creator has been apprehended by police after serious allegations of molestation and physical assault were leveled against him by a 22-year-old woman, who was reportedly a close friend until recently. The arrest followed an intensive manhunt that lasted nearly a full day after the initial complaint was filed.

According to official statements from the Behala Police Station, the incident unfolded over an extended period at a residential flat located on Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road, situated along the Behala-Tollygunge link stretch. The woman, a resident of south Kolkata, provided a harrowing account to authorities.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul De of the South West Division (Behala) stated, "The complainant alleged that after a heated argument, the accused confined her to a room for approximately twelve hours. During this confinement, she was subjected to physical assault and was explicitly threatened to remain silent about the entire episode before being released."
The woman's ordeal reportedly continued until 5 PM on Tuesday. She detailed that the accused not only assaulted her but also outraged her modesty by pulling her clothes and touching her inappropriately, accompanied by threats to ensure her compliance and silence.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
An FIR was officially registered at the Behala Police Station on Wednesday, initiating the legal process. Following the registration, the accused individual evaded capture, remaining on the run for almost twenty-four hours. The police conducted a thorough search operation across the city.
Late on Thursday evening, law enforcement officials successfully located and arrested the content creator from a suspected hideout in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata.
