Khanna SDM Bans Sale of Land with Fake NOCs

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Khanna, Swati Tiwana, has imposed an immediate ban on the further sale of disputed land following an investigation that uncovered land registries executed using fake and manual No Objection Certificates (NOCs). The inquiry report has been forwarded to the Khanna Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for further action.

SDM Orders Sub-Registrar to Halt Registrations

In an official letter, the SDM instructed the Sub-Registrar not to register any new sale deeds or documents pertaining to the disputed lands. The ban applies to any property that was sold or purchased on the basis of such fake or manual NOCs. These transactions will not be allowed to be resold or registered further.

Protecting Government Records and Public Interest

The SDM stated that the immediate prohibition is intended to safeguard government records, uphold legal procedures, and protect the interests of the public. The move aims to prevent fraudulent transactions and ensure that only legitimate land registries are processed.
