The action, carried out on Friday, targets seven individuals who are currently based across the border in Pakistan.
Property Worth Crores Attached Under Stringent Laws
The police spokesperson confirmed that the attached property comprises 10 kanals and 15 marlas of land, with an estimated value running into crores of rupees. This land belongs to the seven accused persons who are originally residents of the Lohai Malhar area but are now illegally residing in Pakistan. The attachment was executed under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the EIMCO Act, under which cases are already registered against them.
Identities of the Accused Revealed
The police have officially identified the seven individuals whose properties have been seized. Six of them are from Lohai Malhar: Mohammed Ayaz, Abdul Kareem, Sarfraz Nawaz, Mohammed Farooq, Mohammed Hafeez, and Gul Mohammed. The seventh accused is Akhter Ali, who hails from Badnota Mora.
