The victim, identified as Aman Sonkar, a resident of Gita Nagar and a BCom student, recounted the harrowing experience. He stated that he went with his friends on Monday night to have tea near Manas Manch Park in Pandu Nagar. According to Aman, some youths who were drinking alcohol near the park began hurling abuses at them without provocation.
When Aman and his friends objected to the verbal harassment, the situation escalated dramatically. The intoxicated youths chased them while firing a pistol into the air, creating a scene of panic and terror in the neighborhood.

Aman managed to flee and reached near a restaurant in Pandu Nagar, but the miscreants quickly surrounded him and launched a brutal physical assault.
