Kanpur Bank Employees Allegedly Assault Female Co-Worker After Office Party
In a disturbing incident in Kanpur, two men employed at a private bank are accused of assaulting their female colleague after pushing her to the ground on VIP Road. The alleged attack occurred in the Gwaltoli police station area on Wednesday, prompting immediate police intervention.
Details of the Alleged Assault
The woman reported that the bank had organized a small party for employees on Wednesday, which marked the first day of the financial year. The event took place at a restaurant on VIP Road. According to her statement, two staff members arrived at the party in an inebriated state and began misbehaving with her.
When she objected to their inappropriate behavior, both men became aggressive and resorted to violence. The situation escalated as she stepped out of the restaurant along with other colleagues. The two accused followed her outside and continued to act inappropriately.
Upon her protest, they allegedly grabbed her hair, threw her to the ground, and proceeded to beat her. This violent act has raised serious concerns about workplace safety and conduct.
Police Response and Investigation
Police arrived at the site promptly after being alerted and managed to apprehend one of the accused. Gwaltoli SSI Dinesh confirmed that a formal report has been registered in connection with the incident.
