Kanpur: 11-Year-Old Student Sodomised and Murdered, Neighbour Arrested
Police in Kanpur have reported a horrific crime involving an 11-year-old class 4 student. The child was sodomised and murdered after going missing from a village under the Bihar police station area. Authorities later found the body thrown in a field.
Arrest of the Accused
Police arrested a 20-year-old accused, who is a BSc student living in the neighbourhood. They sent the body for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The child, a resident of the same village, had been missing since Sunday afternoon.
When the child did not return home, the father immediately informed the police. Both police officers and family members launched a search operation to locate the missing boy.
Search and Discovery
During the search, it emerged that the accused had taken the child with him. Police intensified their efforts to find them. At night, the accused returned home alone, but the child did not come back. This raised strong suspicion among family members, who then filed a formal complaint against him.
After police arrested the accused, they began interrogation. The accused revealed that he had murdered the child and then hid the body in a field. Based on this information, police recovered the body from the field.
Police Statement
SHO Rahul Singh provided details on the case. He said, "The body was sent for post-mortem. The murder accused is in custody." The police are continuing their investigation to gather more evidence and ensure justice is served.
