Jalna Police Crack Murder Case Within Hours, Arrest Two Accused
The Jalna police have demonstrated remarkable efficiency in solving a murder case that shocked the local community. On Saturday, authorities announced they had cracked the killing of Charan Raimallu, a 27-year-old driver employed by a newly elected BJP woman corporator, with the arrest of two youths allegedly involved in the crime.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrests
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 8:30 PM on Friday on the district hospital road in Jalna city. Two youths arrived on a scooter and opened fire on Raimallu using a country-made pistol. The victim sustained head shots and tragically died while being shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
Superintendent of Police Ajaykumar Bansal emphasized that the case was solved within hours due to swift and coordinated action by multiple police teams. "Both accused were arrested, and they confessed to their involvement in the murder. Preliminary investigation suggests the crime was the outcome of an old rivalry," Bansal stated during a press briefing.
Intensive Investigation and Combing Operation
Additional SP Ayush Nopany revealed that special teams were immediately formed after the incident, launching a massive combing operation across the city and surrounding areas. "Based on technical inputs and ground intelligence, we intercepted the suspects around 2 AM on Saturday at Kajla Phata on Ambad Road," Nopany explained.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ajay Amlekar and Aman Dhillod, both residents of the Matoshri Lawn area in Jalna. Police confirmed that one of the accused had a prior criminal record, adding complexity to the investigation.
Court Proceedings and Ongoing Investigation
A local court has remanded both accused to five days of police custody for further investigation. The police are now focusing on several critical aspects of the case:
- Determining whether both accused were armed at the time of the offence
- Investigating the source of the weapon used in the firing
- Examining whether any other individuals were involved in the crime
- Scrutinizing CCTV footage from nearby locations
- Analyzing the movements of the accused before and after the murder
Superintendent Bansal confirmed that the accused have been taken on police remand to probe all aspects of the case thoroughly. The investigation continues as authorities work to ensure justice is served in this tragic incident that has left the community in mourning.
