Accused Identified as Jabbara Ram from Nedan Village
The suspect has been identified as Jabbara Ram, a resident of Nedan village in the region. According to official statements from CID officials, Ram is accused of transmitting confidential and strategic information pertaining to the Indian Army to Pakistani intelligence operatives since the year 2024. The investigation revealed that he was reportedly honeytrapped by an ISI operative, which led to his involvement in espionage activities.
Operation Sindoor Details and E-Mitra Centre Connection
Authorities have disclosed that Jabbara Ram is also accused of sharing sensitive details, videos, and photographs linked to Operation Sindoor, a critical military operation. The suspect operated an e-Mitra centre located near the border area, which allegedly served as a cover for his illicit activities. He maintained regular contact with a woman described as a Pakistani handler, facilitating the transfer of sensitive data.
Communication and Financial Transactions
Inspector General (CID Intelligence) Vishnu Kant emphasized that the agency had been closely monitoring espionage activities in the region. The investigation found that the suspect communicated with Pakistani intelligence agencies through social media platforms and passed on strategic information in exchange for monetary rewards. Initial probes indicate that he regularly sent strategic videos and received payments through local Pakistani agents.
Interrogation and Forensic Examination
Following his arrest, Jabbara Ram is being transported to the Central Joint Interrogation Center in Jaipur for further questioning by multiple security and intelligence agencies. During preliminary interrogations, the accused disclosed knowledge of key military sites and movements, confirming his active role during Operation Sindoor. His mobile phone and computer have been seized for comprehensive forensic examination as the investigation continues to unfold.
