In a decisive action against traffic violations, the Jaipur traffic police on Tuesday seized a car in the Hathoj area after discovering it was displaying an unauthorized MLA nameplate and using prohibited black film on its windows. The enforcement drive highlights the police's commitment to maintaining traffic discipline and preventing misuse of official designations.
Evening Checking Drive Leads to Discovery
The incident occurred during a routine evening checking operation when a vigilant head constable stopped the suspicious vehicle. Upon inspection, the police immediately noticed the unauthorized MLA nameplate affixed to the car, along with the illegal black film covering the windows, which violates traffic safety regulations.
Driver's False Claim Exposed
During questioning, the driver, identified as Shyam, attempted to evade consequences by claiming the vehicle belonged to a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and requested special passage. However, the police officers, adhering to protocol, thoroughly verified this assertion and confirmed it was completely false. The driver's attempt to misuse a VIP designation for personal benefit was swiftly uncovered.
Vehicle Seized for Multiple Violations
The police proceeded to seize the car for multiple infractions of traffic rules. The primary violations included the misuse of a VIP designation through the unauthorized nameplate and the use of prohibited black film on windows, which can obstruct visibility and pose safety risks. Officials emphasized that such actions undermine traffic laws and public safety.
Legal Action Underway
Authorities have stated that further legal action is being initiated in accordance with the law. This case serves as a stern warning against similar attempts to flout traffic regulations or falsely claim official privileges. The Jaipur traffic police continue to conduct regular checks to deter such violations and ensure compliance with all traffic norms.
