Jaipur city police have launched an intensive search operation to locate Dinesh Ranwa, the 32-year-old driver of an Audi car involved in a devastating hit-and-run incident. The luxury vehicle ploughed into multiple roadside food stalls near Kharbas Circle in the Mansarovar area on Friday night, resulting in one fatality and leaving 15 people injured.
Manhunt Intensifies for Fleeing Driver
According to police officials, Dinesh Ranwa managed to escape from the accident spot with assistance from his associates and is currently absconding. Multiple specialized police teams have been deployed across Jaipur and in the Churu district to track him down. Raids are being conducted simultaneously at several suspected hideouts as the net tightens around the accused.
Four Detained, Including Doctor and Police Constable
In a significant development on Saturday, police took four individuals into custody for their alleged involvement in the case. The detainees have been identified as Sumit Choudhar and Dr. Ashok Meena, who are accused of helping Ranwa flee immediately after the collision. The other two are Mukesh Jat, a police constable attached to the city police reserve line, and Papu Lal (28). Investigators revealed that Jat and Lal were passengers in the Audi at the time of the tragic incident.
Police are rigorously interrogating all four detainees to reconstruct the exact sequence of events and identify everyone who aided the driver's escape. Officials stated that Ranwa abandoned the damaged Audi after the crash and made his getaway in another vehicle, which has since been seized by the authorities.

The investigation is leveraging both technical surveillance and local intelligence inputs to trace Ranwa's movements before and after the crash. Police have indicated that further arrests are expected as the probe delves deeper into the circumstances surrounding the accident and the subsequent escape. The case has sparked public outrage, with demands for swift justice for the victims of the Mansarovar tragedy.
