Jabalpur Horror: Man Beheaded by Relatives Over Black Magic Suspicion
In a deeply disturbing incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a 50-year-old man was allegedly abducted and brutally beheaded by his own relative and an accomplice over suspicions of practicing black magic. The chilling crime occurred in Bisnapur village within the Kundam police station area of Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
Brutal Attack Over Superstition
According to police reports, the accused individuals—identified as Pitti Yadav, who is related to the victim, and his friend Madhu Shah—launched a vicious assault on Bhura Lal Yadav at his residence late Tuesday night. The attackers allegedly subjected the victim to verbal abuse before mercilessly beating him with sticks and an axe, accusing him of engaging in black magic practices.
When the victim's brother, Nanhelal Yadav, and his son, Suresh Yadav, rushed to intervene and rescue Bhura Lal, they too were brutally assaulted by the accused. Both family members sustained severe injuries to their heads, faces, and eyes during the violent confrontation.
Abduction and Murder
Police investigations reveal that after the initial assault, the accused forcibly abducted Bhura Lal from the scene while threatening to kill him. Nanhelal Yadav subsequently filed a formal complaint with the Kundam police station, prompting authorities to register a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiate an immediate search operation for the missing man.
During their investigation, police successfully tracked down and arrested both suspects. Under interrogation, the accused confessed to murdering Bhura Lal, admitting their actions were driven by suspicions that the victim practiced black magic.
Police Response and Investigation
Kundam police station in-charge Satish Kumar Andhwan confirmed the arrests and provided details of the investigation. "We traced and arrested the two accused. During interrogation, they confessed to killing Bhura Lal, as they suspected him of practicing black magic," Andhwan stated.
The incident has raised serious concerns about superstition-driven violence in rural areas and highlights the urgent need for community awareness programs. This horrific crime follows another disturbing incident in neighboring Damoh district, where a man reportedly killed a boy and consumed his flesh and blood, creating a pattern of extreme violence in the region that demands immediate attention from authorities and community leaders alike.
