The Andhra Pradesh state government on Sunday transferred Saurabh Gaur, a 2002-batch IAS officer, who had been serving as the Secretary of Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department. He has been directed to report to the General Administration Department for further posting.
Government Order Issued
Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad issued a government order (GO RT No. 1165) to this effect. The transfer is effective immediately, and Gaur is expected to await his next assignment from the GAD.
Additional Charge for S Suresh Kumar
In a related development, Principal Secretary (MAUD) S. Suresh Kumar has been placed in full additional charge of the Principal Secretary (Health, Medical and Family Welfare) and the positions of APMSIDC Vice Chairman & Managing Director, along with the Director General of Drug Control Administration. These posts were previously held by Saurabh Gaur.
The move is part of routine administrative reshuffles in the state bureaucracy. Further details regarding Gaur's new posting are expected to be announced soon.
