Hyderabad Bus Driver Assaulted by Biker Over Stop

A 23-year-old RTC bus driver, Thalla Ram Kumar, was allegedly assaulted by a biker following a dispute over a bus stop in Nalgonda on Sunday morning, according to police.

Incident Details

According to the Nalgonda rural police, Ram Kumar, a driver from Nalgonda, reported that at approximately 8:10 am, he stopped his bus at the designated stop near the IT tower in Arjalabavi village. At that moment, a man on a motorcycle with a female pillion rider pulled up alongside and began abusing him for not stopping the bus earlier.

Police identified the accused as Tupakula Venkatesham. They stated that he boarded the bus, struck Ram Kumar with his footwear, dragged him off the bus, and continued the assault.

Injuries and Legal Action

Ram Kumar sustained injuries to his right forehead and left knee. He was taken to the government hospital in Nalgonda for treatment. Subsequently, he filed a complaint with the police.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case under Sections 118(1) and 352 of the BNS. Further investigation is ongoing.
