Chaos erupted at Mugaluru lakebed in Sarjapur, Bengaluru Rural, on Saturday morning after residents discovered a human skull and several bones scattered nearby. The gruesome find prompted an immediate response from local police and a team of scene of crime officers (SOCO), who examined the remains and transported them to the forensic science laboratory for further analysis.

In addition to the skull, law enforcement officials recovered a jawbone, upper limb bones, a torn sari, and women's footwear from the site. According to a senior police officer, the jaw was separated from the skull, and the front five teeth were missing. These missing teeth are considered crucial for identifying the deceased. Authorities suspect the remains belong to a woman aged between 25 and 35 years.
