Hisar Police Uncover Murder Plot in Disappearance Case, Arrest Wife and Accomplice
Police in Hisar have made a significant breakthrough in the case of Naseeb Kumar's disappearance from Sadhanwas village in Fatehabad's Jakhal area, confirming it as a premeditated murder. Two individuals, including the victim's wife, have been apprehended in connection with the crime, shedding light on a tragic domestic dispute turned deadly.
Background of the Case and Initial Complaint
The investigation began when Raghunath Kumar, the elder brother of Naseeb Kumar, filed a formal complaint on March 5. He reported that Naseeb had been missing since the morning of March 2, raising immediate concerns among family members and local authorities. Police swiftly initiated a probe into the disappearance, treating it with urgency due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the case.
Police Investigation Reveals Foul Play
During the course of their investigation, law enforcement officials uncovered compelling evidence pointing to foul play. This prompted them to detain Pooja, Naseeb's wife, and Shravan Kumar for detailed questioning. The interrogation process proved crucial, as both suspects allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder, providing a grim account of the events that transpired.
Motivation and Method of the Crime
Preliminary findings from the police investigation indicate that Naseeb Kumar was known to assault his wife, Pooja, under the influence of alcohol. This abusive behavior reportedly led Pooja to develop a relationship with Shravan Kumar. Allegedly, the two conspired together and ultimately strangled Naseeb to death, executing a plan to eliminate him from their lives.
Disposal of Evidence and Legal Proceedings
In a bid to conceal their crime and destroy evidence, the accused tied Naseeb's body with stones and dumped it into the Bhakra Canal. This act was intended to make the body difficult to recover and to obscure the cause of death. Police have stated that the accused will be produced before a court to seek police custody, as the legal process moves forward to ensure justice is served.
Tohana deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Jai Bhagwan emphasized the thoroughness of the investigation, which led to the arrests.
