In a sweeping statewide operation targeting organized crime, the Haryana Police has delivered a massive blow to criminal networks, arresting a total of 162 criminals, including history-sheeters and absconders, over the weekend. The day-long crackdown saw police teams raid 934 locations across various districts, leading to significant seizures of narcotics, illegal arms, and smuggled liquor.
Massive Haul of Narcotics and Illegal Arms
The police action was particularly focused on crippling the drug trade and illegal arms possession. During the raids, law enforcement recovered a substantial quantity of narcotics, including 1.2 kg of ganja, 301 grams of heroin, 47 grams of smack, over 1 kg of charas, and over 44 kg of poppy husk. In a parallel crackdown on liquor smuggling, authorities seized 126 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, 656 bottles of country liquor, and 23 litres of illicit liquor.

- Five country-made pistols
- Six pistols
- One revolver
- One rifle
- Ten live cartridges
District-Wide Operations and Key Arrests
The impact of the crackdown was amplified by active participation at the district level, with several units reporting major successes. Gurugram police arrested 27 criminals, including 15 absconders, and recovered over 1 kg of ganja. Sirsa district conducted raids at the highest number of locations—68—leading to nine arrests.
Other notable actions included:

To disrupt criminal mobility, police seized vehicles used in illegal activities, including two cars, four motorcycles, one scooty, one tractor, and a dumper valued at approximately Rs 1.5 lakh. Valuables like gold and silver items, along with Rs 87,000 in cash linked to gambling, were also confiscated.
Strengthening Inter-State Crime Prevention
The operation extended beyond immediate arrests and seizures. As part of a coordinated effort, police issued a look out circular and shared 70 intelligence inputs with neighbouring states. This step is aimed at strengthening the fight against inter-state crime networks and preventing criminals from fleeing across borders.
A total of 67 fresh First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered during this intensive one-day drive. The arrests included 53 absconding and violent criminals, showcasing the police's focus on tracking down persistent offenders. This large-scale crackdown is expected to significantly enhance public confidence in safety and law enforcement across Haryana.
