Gurgaon Woman Dies in Tragic Canter Truck Collision Near Elan Mall
A 22-year-old woman, identified as Reena, lost her life in a devastating road accident in Gurgaon on Tuesday. The incident occurred near Elan Mall Chowk in Sector 84, where a canter truck allegedly rammed her scooter from behind, leading to fatal injuries.
Details of the Accident
Reena, a resident of Kherki Daula, was returning home with a friend when the accident took place. According to reports, an Eicher canter truck, which was without a number plate, collided with their two-wheeler from the rear, causing it to fall. Passers-by immediately rushed the injured women to a government hospital, where doctors declared Reena dead upon arrival.
In a complaint filed by her brother, Sagar, it was alleged that the canter driver was operating the vehicle recklessly and at high speed. "When I received the information about my sister's accident, I reached the hospital, but my sister was lying dead on a stretcher there," Sagar stated, highlighting the sudden and tragic nature of the event.
Police Response and Legal Action
Police authorities confirmed that they were alerted about the accident by an emergency response vehicle and promptly arrived at the government hospital. Based on Sagar's complaint, an FIR has been registered at the Sector 93 police station under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the unidentified driver. The investigation is ongoing to locate and apprehend the suspect.

Reena had been employed at Haldiram's in Elan Miracle Mall for the past two years, making her a familiar face in the local community. Her untimely death has left family and colleagues in shock, underscoring the dangers of reckless driving on city roads.
