Gangster Kaushal Chaudhary Arrested in Ludhiana Luxury Car Showroom Firing Case

Ludhiana Rural police took gangster Kaushal Chaudhary into custody on Tuesday. Officers brought him on a production warrant from Gurugram jail. This action connects to a recent firing incident at a luxury car rental company office in Mullanpur Dakha.

Court Grants Police Custody

Police produced Kaushal Chaudhary before a local court. The court remanded him to five-day police custody. Deputy superintendent of police Varinder Singh Khosa confirmed the arrest. He stated that police brought Chaudhary for detailed questioning.

Investigators suspect Chaudhary tried to extort money from the victim. They believe he operated with help from his aides. This alleged extortion attempt led directly to the violent shooting.

Extortion Demands and Violent Attack

The case involves a luxury car rental company. One partner received a WhatsApp call on Saturday. The caller used a foreign number and claimed to be gangster Pawan Shokeen. He demanded a massive Rs 2 crore extortion payment.

Unidentified assailants fired multiple gunshots at the company office that same morning. They left a chit naming Shokeen and another associate, Mohabbat Randhawa. Bullets struck vehicles parked outside, including a Mercedes and a Range Rover. The attack damaged front windshields.

CCTV Captures Brazen Attack

CCTV footage from the area shows two bike-borne individuals near the crime scene. One miscreant dismounts from the motorcycle. He fires at the showroom using weapons in both hands. After the shooting, he runs away while his accomplice waits on the bike.

Ludhiana Rural police have officially booked Kaushal Chaudhary in this case. They also charged his associates Pawan Shokeen and Mohabbat Randhawa. Several unidentified accomplices face charges as well.

History of Criminal Activity

This is not the first time police have arrested Kaushal Chaudhary for extortion. Earlier, Ludhiana police brought him on a production warrant in another firing and extortion case. In October 2025, gunshots targeted a house belonging to an ex-serviceman turned realtor. A chit demanding Rs 5 crore was found at that scene.

Kaushal Chaudhary remains active across multiple states. His criminal operations span Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Recently, his name surfaced in extortion calls made within Punjab. Police records show he faces about 30 FIRs for various crimes.
