Tragic Highway Crash Claims Four Lives in Mukerian
In a devastating incident that has shocked the local community, four individuals lost their lives in a horrific road accident on the Jalandhar-Pathankot national highway in Mukerian during the early hours of Tuesday. According to Dasuya DSP Balwinder Singh Jaura, the accident occurred when a speeding car, traveling from the opposite direction, crashed into a scooter carrying the four victims. The impact was so severe that the scooter was dragged into a stationary truck parked on the service lane of the highway. All four individuals died on the spot, highlighting the violent nature of the collision.
The victims have been identified as Narinder Kumar Gaggi, aged 24, and Sukhwinder Singh, aged 40, both residents of Mukerian. They had offered a lift to two migrant workers, Mithun Mandal, 37, and Vividh Sahu, 46, who were also part of the wedding workforce. The car driver involved in the accident has been arrested, and authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to this fatal crash.
