Four Arrested After Gurgaon Clash Over Garbage Dispute

A violent clash erupted between two groups over a garbage collection dispute at Tulip Chowk in Sector 70, Gurgaon, on May 8, leading to the arrest of four men. Police reported that the confrontation occurred around 11:30 am on SPR Road, involving rival groups from Kadarpur and Rithoj villages. The argument over garbage collection escalated into a physical assault with sticks and lathis.

During the violence, several parked vehicles were vandalized, with four cars sustaining heavy damage, including smashed windows. Gunshots were also fired during the altercation, according to police. A team from Badshahpur police station responded promptly after receiving information about the clash.

Both sides subsequently filed complaints, accusing each other of assault, firing, and issuing death threats. Two FIRs were registered under relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act based on the complaints of Pradeep and Navdeep alias Golu. Police stated that Pradeep suffered a gunshot injury during the clash, while Navdeep alias Golu sustained injuries in the assault.

During the investigation, police arrested Navdeep alias Golu, a resident of Kadarpur, on May 12 in connection with one of the FIRs. In the second case, Sandeep of Tigra village, Monu of Rithoj village, and Pradeep of Rithoj village were arrested between May 9 and May 12. A pistol allegedly used in the firing was recovered from Navdeep's possession. Police noted that four criminal cases are already registered against him in Gurgaon.
