According to police officials, Yeshaswini Gowda played a vital role in the kidnapping of a realtor named Manoj. The incident occurred on August 28 last year in Mahalakshmi Layout, located in the northern part of Bengaluru. A CCB source stated, "Yeshaswini harboured one of the prime suspects and misled the investigating police officials. In connection with this case, we booked her under KCOCA." This underscores her alleged attempts to obstruct justice and shield key individuals from law enforcement.
Profile of Yeshaswini Gowda
Yeshaswini Gowda, aged around 50, holds the distinction of being the first woman rowdy sheeter in Bengaluru city. Her criminal record dates back approximately a decade when she was declared a rowdy sheeter at the Subramanyapura police station in south Bengaluru. However, her name was later removed from the list, indicating a complex history with the law.
She previously made headlines in May 2016 when police booked her in an attempted-murder case. Authorities reached a private hospital to arrest her, but she managed to escape. After evading arrest for 112 days, she eventually surrendered before the police, showcasing her notoriety and ability to avoid capture.
