In Tirupati, the Tanakallu police in Sri Sathya Sai district have registered a case against two individuals for allegedly forging the signatures of health minister Satya Kumar Yadav to facilitate the transfer of a staff nurse working at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Kadapa.
Accused Identified
The accused have been identified as Venu and Gangadri, both residents of Kadiri. According to the Tanakallu police, the complainant, Jayachandra, a computer operator at the local mandal parishad office, had been seeking the transfer of his wife Ramanamma, who works as a staff nurse at Kadapa RIMS, to a location near their native place.
Fraudulent Promise
When Venu and Gangadri learned of Jayachandra's predicament, they approached him and promised to assist with the transfer. They claimed that their relative, Seshadri, worked as a personal assistant to health minister Satya Kumar Yadav. Trusting their claim, Jayachandra paid them Rs 1 lakh in multiple installments.
Fake Transfer Orders
After receiving the money, Venu and Gangadri created fake transfer orders bearing forged signatures of the minister and handed over the documents to Jayachandra. However, Jayachandra grew suspicious and made inquiries. He discovered that no individual named Seshadri works as a personal assistant to the health minister.
Police Action
Realizing he had been cheated, Jayachandra lodged a complaint with the Tanakallu police. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case against Venu and Gangadri. Both accused are currently absconding, and a search is underway to apprehend them.
