Junagadh Police Swiftly Arrest Five in Alleged Love-Affair Triggered Kidnapping and Assault Case
In a dramatic incident in Junagadh taluka, police have arrested five men within hours for allegedly kidnapping, robbing, and brutally assaulting a father and his son in Toraniya village. The attack, which occurred on the night of March 5, was reportedly triggered by a suspected love affair involving the complainant's son.
Details of the Alleged Crime
According to police reports, the main accused, identified as Milan Makwana from Rajpara village in Visavadar taluka, suspected that the victim's son, Sanjay Dhandhukiya, was in contact with his fiancée. Nursing this grudge, Makwana allegedly planned the violent attack with his associates.
On the fateful night, the accused arrived in Toraniya village in a car, abducted the father and son, and assaulted them inside the moving vehicle. During this ordeal, they snatched Sanjay's mobile phone and threw it near Virpur village, while also taking away the father's phone.
Extended Assault and Swift Police Action
The victims were then taken to a farm near Rajpara village, where they were held for approximately an hour and subjected to further beatings. After this, the accused drove them back towards Toraniya, dragged Sanjay out near a hotel for another round of assault, before finally dropping both victims back in their village.
An FIR was registered the same night, and through meticulous investigation using CCTV footage and local intelligence, police traced and arrested all suspects within hours. The car used in the crime was also seized as evidence.
Arrested Accused and Legal Charges
The arrested individuals, all residents of Rajpara village, have been identified as Milan Makwana, Sanjayi Makwana, Nikunj Vasiya, Jamal Sandhar, and Jaydeep Makwana. They have been booked under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Sections 140(4), 309(4), 115(2), 296(b), 351(3), and 54, covering charges related to kidnapping, assault, robbery, and criminal conspiracy.
This case highlights the swift response of Junagadh police in addressing violent crimes and ensuring justice for the victims. The investigation continues as authorities work to gather further evidence and build a strong case against the accused.
