Vishnu Yadav, a sales executive with an internet services company from Pratapgarh, had come to Lucknow with his wife Sakshi and their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter to finalize plans for permanently relocating to the city. His primary motivation was to secure a brighter educational future for his daughter, and he had been actively researching quality pre-schools in the area.
The family had arrived at the residence of Vishnu's in-laws to help the young girl meet her maternal grandparents and to discuss the practical aspects of their planned move to Lucknow. What began as a hopeful family gathering would soon descend into unimaginable violence.
The Fatal Argument
According to reports, an argument erupted between Vishnu and his father-in-law, Teerthraj Singh, after dinner on Tuesday night. The disagreement reportedly escalated quickly, culminating in the alleged fatal assault on the young father.
"I spoke to Vishnu around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. Everything seemed normal then," recalled his brother Rohit Yadav. "Around 10:30 pm, I received a call from a police officer informing me that my brother had been murdered."
A Life Dedicated to Family
Family members described Vishnu as a devoted father and husband whose every decision centered around providing for his loved ones. "The family was his entire world," said Shanti, a relative of Vishnu, her voice trembling with emotion. "Every decision he made was for his daughter and for Sakshi. He came here with dreams of starting over, of giving them comfort and security."
She added, "He walked in with hope in his heart… and never walked out. We never thought his search for a better tomorrow would end like this."
