A tragic road accident in Namakkal district has claimed the life of a young farmer and cattle trader. The incident occurred on Thursday when the pickup truck he was driving overturned, leading to fatal injuries.

The victim has been identified as Suresh, a 36-year-old resident of Ottamangalam at Mamarathupatty in Karur district. According to the Tiruchengode rural police, the accident took place at Thokkavadi in Tiruchengode. Suresh was engaged in the business of buying and selling cows alongside farming.
He was transporting a cow from Karur to the Karungalpalayam market located near Tiruchengode. His route took him via the Thokkavadi new ring Road. Police officials stated that the vehicle suddenly went out of control, leading to it overturning. "The vehicle suddenly went out of control and overturned. Suresh suffered serious injuries," confirmed an officer from the Tiruchengode rural police station.

Alert locals who witnessed the accident rushed to the scene. They managed to rescue Suresh from the wreckage and immediately took him to the Tiruchengode Government Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Despite their swift efforts and the best attempts by the hospital doctors, Suresh was declared dead upon arrival or during treatment.
