In a bizarre incident that unfolded in Gurgaon, a 29-year-old law graduate has been arrested for sending a fake bomb threat email to a company operating from the DLF Two Horizon Center on Golf Course Road. The accused, originally from Kolkata, was employed as a legal professional with a private firm in the city. His motive, as revealed during police interrogation, was shockingly personal: he hoped the threat would cause an evacuation, thereby delaying his former girlfriend's scheduled job interview in the same building.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vikas Kaushik of the DLF area, the accused believed that if the interview did not proceed as planned, his ex-girlfriend might turn to him for assistance. This, he thought, could provide an opportunity to reconnect and potentially rekindle their relationship. The couple had broken up after dating for approximately one and a half years, and although they remained in contact for some time, the woman had recently begun distancing herself.
The accused confessed that he created a forged email ID to send the threatening message to the company's official email address on Monday morning. The email specifically threatened to blow up a commercial complex in Sector 43, prompting immediate action from authorities.

Upon receiving the alert around 9:15 AM, teams from the Sushant Lok police station rushed to the scene. The response was swift and comprehensive, involving the Haryana Disaster Response Force (HDRF), a dog squad, fire brigade units, and bomb detection teams. As per standard protocol, the building was evacuated and thoroughly sanitized to ensure public safety.
After an exhaustive search of the premises, no suspicious objects were found, confirming the threat as a hoax. A case was promptly registered under relevant legal sections, and the cybercrime team initiated efforts to trace the source of the email.
