Dhubri Lok Adalat Achieves Major Financial Recovery
In a significant legal milestone, the Lok Adalat held at the Dhubri District Judicial Court premises on Saturday successfully recovered over Rs 3 crore from a total of 1,058 cases. This event, organized under the auspices of the Dhubri District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA), was chaired by Dhubri District and Session Judge Babul Sutradhar, showcasing the efficiency of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in the region.

The Lok Adalat disposed of a wide array of cases, leading to a total recovery of Rs 3,30,81,339. The cases primarily involved bank loan recoveries, electricity bill dues, and motor accident claims, among others. - Bank Loans and Electricity Bills: Out of 770 cases related to bank loans and electricity bill dues, an amount of Rs 1,20,31,261 was recovered, with all cases being successfully disposed of.
- Motor Accidents and Other Claims: In addition, 388 cases, including 56 motor accident claims and other civil and criminal matters, were settled, resulting in a recovery of Rs 2,10,49,078.
