29-Year-Old Delhivery Manager Found Dead in Gurgaon PG; Brother Alleges Abetment
Delhivery manager found dead in Gurgaon PG; suicide note recovered

A 29-year-old manager working with logistics firm Delhivery was found dead in his paying guest accommodation in Gurgaon's Sector 38 on Tuesday morning, sending shockwaves through the local community. The deceased has been identified as Pratik Pandey, a native of Kolkata who was living alone in the rented premises.

How the Tragedy Unfolded

The incident came to light when a concerned friend raised an alarm after Pratik Pandey failed to answer repeated phone calls. The caretaker of the PG facility also noted that the young professional had not stepped out of his room in the morning, which was highly unusual for his routine. This prompted them to check on him.

Police were alerted and reached the spot around 6:45 am. They found Pandey's body hanging inside his room, which was locked from the inside. Preliminary inspection of the scene revealed no visible signs of a struggle. Initially, no suicide note was found by the investigating team.

Police Investigation and Family's Allegation

Officers stated that the circumstances leading to Pandey's death are being thoroughly probed. Investigators are looking into possible angles, including personal or professional stress he might have been under. Statements from the PG caretaker and other residents are being recorded as part of the standard procedure.

In a significant development, Pratik Pandey's brother lodged a formal complaint alleging abetment to suicide against a woman. While police have not disclosed the identity of the person named in this complaint, they confirmed the matter is under active investigation. The complaint adds a complex layer to the case.

Inquest proceedings were initiated under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The body was sent for a post-mortem examination before being handed over to his grieving family for last rites.

Suicide Note Recovered; Second Incident in Gurgaon

Sources later revealed that a note was recovered in which Pratik Pandey stated he had taken the extreme step on his own. The contents of the note are likely to be a crucial piece of evidence for the police as they reconcile this with the family's allegation of abetment.

In a separate and tragic incident later the same day, the body of a 26-year-old taxi driver named Sandeep was found hanging at his rented accommodation in the New Palam Vihar area. A native of Ujina in Nuh district, he had been living there for only six to seven months. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding this second death, which has compounded the sense of unease in the city.

The back-to-back incidents have highlighted concerns about mental well-being and the pressures faced by young professionals and migrants living alone in urban hubs like Gurgaon. The police continue their investigations into both cases to determine the exact sequence of events and causes behind these tragic losses of life.
