Violent Road Rage Incident Rocks Delhi's Dwarka Area
A disturbing case of road rage in Delhi's Dwarka area has captured public attention after a video of the incident went viral on social media platforms. The altercation occurred on November 2, 2025, around 10:30 PM near the venue of singer Talwinder's concert in Sector 10.
The Incident Unfolds in Heavy Traffic
According to police reports, the complainant Rohit, who works as an advocate, was returning from the musical concert with three companions - another man and two women. Their vehicle, registered in Punjab, was navigating through heavy traffic when it reportedly grazed another car.
The minor collision sparked immediate tension between both parties. A heated argument quickly escalated into physical confrontation, with the entire episode being captured on camera and subsequently circulated online.
Violent Behavior Captured in Viral Video
The one-minute video that spread across social media platforms shows a man identified as Puneet from the second vehicle engaging in aggressive behavior. The footage clearly depicts Puneet slamming his wrist violently on the bonnet of Rohit's car and kicking the driver's side door repeatedly while using abusive language.
The person who uploaded the video claimed that his brother-in-law, who serves in the Military Engineering Service, was attempting to transport his pregnant wife to a nearby hospital for a routine check-up when the incident occurred. The uploader admitted that their vehicle was being driven on the wrong side of the road but alleged that neither bystanders nor police provided adequate assistance initially.
Police Response and FIR Registration
Delhi Police responded to the viral video by registering a formal First Information Report (FIR) on November 3, 2025, at the Dwarka South police station. The case has been filed under sections of voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint, and mischief as per the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
However, police authorities have questioned the accuracy of claims made in the viral video. DCP (Dwarka) Ankit Singh stated that the video appeared to sensationalize the incident. The police investigation revealed that the complainant reported no physical injuries from the altercation.
Law enforcement officials faced initial challenges in locating Puneet, as his vehicle was traced to a registered address in Gurgaon where he couldn't be found. He was subsequently traced along with two other individuals who were present in his car during the incident.
The Delhi Police emphasized that appropriate legal action is being taken against all parties found responsible for the road rage incident, ensuring that justice is served according to established legal procedures.
