New Delhi: The Delhi Police has formally submitted a chargesheet in connection with the security breach that occurred at the Delhi Assembly on April 6. The accused, identified as Sarabjit Singh (37), a resident of Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended in relation to the incident. According to the chargesheet, the breach took place at approximately 2:10 pm when a white SUV entered the Assembly premises through Gate No. 2.
Police officials stated that the SUV successfully breached the security barricades and proceeded directly towards the office of the Assembly Speaker, prompting an immediate security alert within the premises. The swift response from security personnel ensured that the situation was brought under control without any untoward incident.
The chargesheet details the sequence of events and provides evidence gathered during the investigation. Further legal proceedings are expected to follow as the case moves forward in court.
