Car Catches Fire on Yeshwantpur Road in Bengaluru, Occupants Escape Unhurt

A car travelling on Yeshwantpur main road towards Malleswaram caught fire suddenly on Sunday morning. The two occupants managed to escape without any injuries. Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the fire.

Driver Describes Terrifying Moments

Car owner Nagaraj from Davanagere filed a complaint with Yeshwantpur police. He stated the trouble began around 7.30 am while he was driving past the skywalk near IISc.

"Thick smoke came out of the engine, so I stopped the vehicle and got down quickly," Nagaraj said. "By then, a small fire had already started."

Nagaraj tried to douse the flames by spraying water immediately. Other commuters on the road joined his efforts to control the fire.

Fire Spreads Despite Rescue Attempts

Despite their quick response, the fire continued to grow rapidly. A fire tender arrived at the scene promptly and tried to extinguish the blaze.

However, the fire had already gained significant intensity. The vehicle was completely charred by the time firefighters brought the situation under control.

Local authorities are now investigating the incident thoroughly. They will examine the vehicle remains to establish the precise reason behind the sudden fire.

This incident caused temporary disruption on Yeshwantpur main road during Sunday morning hours. Traffic flow returned to normal after firefighters cleared the scene.
