Administrative Actions and Public Outcry
The incident triggered major administrative responses. The Uttar Pradesh government removed the Noida Authority CEO. Officials also established a Special Investigation Team. This SIT will probe all circumstances surrounding Mehta's death.
Local residents expressed strong anger. People from Sector 150 protested at the accident site. They alleged repeated warnings about the hazardous stretch went ignored. Authorities responded with disciplinary measures. They suspended a junior engineer. Notices went to other officials. Inspections of construction-site safety across the area began immediately.
Ongoing Investigation and Legal Process
Police confirmed further verification of the accused's criminal history continues. An FIR had already been registered against builders linked to the site. It cited serious safety lapses. Police emphasized their investigation remains active. More action may follow based on the SIT's findings.
