Infant Kidnapped from Wedding Ceremony in Budaun, Swiftly Rescued from Agra in Police Operation

In a shocking incident from Bareilly, a one-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped by a nurse from a wedding function in Budaun and transported to a relative's residence in Agra. Authorities revealed that a pre-arranged "deal" to sell the infant for Rs 70,000 had been finalized, with an advance payment of Rs 20,000 already made. The child was successfully rescued from Agra within a critical 72-hour window, and five individuals, including the nurse, have been taken into custody, as confirmed by police officials on Monday.

Details of the Wedding Night Abduction

The parents of the infant had traveled from Sambhal to attend the wedding on April 16. During the evening festivities, the mother briefly stepped out to observe the wedding ceremony, leaving her son asleep in a nearby room. Upon her return, she was horrified to discover that the child was missing, triggering an immediate panic and subsequent police investigation.

Police Investigation and CCTV Evidence

Budaun Senior Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma provided crucial insights into the case. "Our examination of CCTV footage clearly captured a woman dressed in white carrying the infant away from the venue," SSP Sharma stated. "The suspect was swiftly identified as Khushboo, who works as a nurse at a private hospital in Budaun. Specialized police teams were immediately deployed with the primary objective of locating and safely retrieving the child."

Confession and Arrest of Multiple Accused

During interrogation, Khushboo confessed to her involvement in the kidnapping. Police investigations further uncovered that an individual named Munesh had arranged the vehicle used to transport the boy to Agra, while another accomplice, Dinesh, played a key role in facilitating the financial transaction. The infant was ultimately recovered from the residence of Sonu, where his wife Babli was also present at the time of the police raid.

Motive Behind the Crime

According to preliminary police findings, the primary motive behind this heinous act stemmed from a couple's desperate desire to have a child. This longing allegedly drove them to participate in the illegal purchase of the kidnapped infant, highlighting a tragic intersection of criminal exploitation and emotional vulnerability.

The rapid response and coordinated efforts of the Budaun police ensured the infant's safe return to his family, while all five accused now face serious legal consequences for their roles in this disturbing case.
