Bijnor Home Invasion: Trio Poses as Beggars, Flees with Lakhs in Gold Jewellery
In a brazen daylight robbery that has sent shockwaves through the community, three burglars, including a woman, executed a meticulously planned heist in Bijnor district on Saturday. The incident occurred in Mandora village, falling under the jurisdiction of the Heempur Deepa police station.
The Deceptive Entry and Terrifying Ordeal
The criminals gained access to the home of 30-year-old Shivani by cunningly posing as beggars. At the time of the incident, Shivani was alone in the house, as her husband, Amit Kumar, had traveled to Moradabad to assist his sister with an examination.
Once inside, the situation turned violent and threatening. The trio revealed their true intentions by placing a knife against Shivani's neck, leaving her terrified and helpless. They then proceeded to ransack the premises, specifically targeting and looting gold jewellery valued at several lakh rupees before making their escape.
Police Investigation and Victim Trauma
Local authorities were alerted promptly, and a police team rushed to the scene to initiate a thorough investigation. Officials have revealed that the victim, Shivani, has been left deeply traumatized by the harrowing experience.
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha stated that CCTV footage from surrounding areas is being meticulously examined to identify the perpetrators. "Our efforts to trace and apprehend these criminals have been intensified," SP Jha assured. "We are confident they will be arrested soon."
Premeditated Crime and Ongoing Probe
Investigators suspect this was not a random act but a premeditated crime. Preliminary findings indicate that the accused may have conducted reconnaissance of the village approximately ten days prior to the robbery. During this period, they are believed to have moved from house to house under the guise of begging, carefully identifying potential targets and vulnerabilities.
Based on the victim's formal complaint, a case has been registered against unidentified persons. The police are pursuing multiple leads and have appealed to the public for any information that could aid in the swift resolution of this case.
